Ahead of its release at the end of the month, The Weinstein Company has dropped a new trailer for Southpaw, the upcoming boxing drama from director Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer) starring Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler). Check it out below…
From director Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY) and writers Kurt Sutter (SONS OF ANARCHY) and Richard Wenk (THE MECHANIC) comes SOUTHPAW – the story of Billy “The Great” Hope, Junior Middleweight Boxing Champion of the World. When tragedy strikes and he loses it all, Billy enters the battle of his life as he struggles to become a contender once again and win back those he loves.
Southpaw is set for release on July 31st, with a cast that also includes Rachel McAdams (Aloha), Rita Ora (Fifty Shades of Grey), Naomie Harris (Skyfall), Forest Whitaker (Out of the Furnace), 50 Cent (Real Steel) and Victor Ortiz (The Expendables 3).
